Mark A. Abell has more than 15 years' experience practicing law. His time in the office is devoted to expertly guiding clients through the estate planning process and representing clients in a wide variety of trust and estate matters.
Mark was born and grew up in Lake Arrowhead, California. After high school, he worked for the Forest Service as a Hot Shot Firefighter, fighting large wildland fires. Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Redlands. He went on to earn his law degree from Southwestern Law School. Mark graduated near the top of his class, and he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Southwestern Law Review. At the same time, Mark competed on the moot court team and received several oral advocacy awards, including semi-finalist at the Wagner Moot Court Competition in New York City.
Mark began his legal career clerking at the Pentagon for the United States Air Force General Counsel. He spent the next 5 years focusing on litigation, helping thousands of consumers and homeowners in complex, construction-defect litigation, and representing plaintiffs in asbestos and mesothelioma litigation. During this time, Mark also prosecuted criminal cases in the City of Inglewood through the prestigious Los Angeles County Trial Advocacy Program. In 2013, Mark founded his own law practice, concentrating on estate planning and business transactions.
When Mark is not at the office, he can be found leading his daughter’s Girl Scouts troop with his wife, pursuing his private pilot’s license, or on an outdoor adventure, such as sailing or SCUBA diving.
