JDS Law, Inc. is a law firm concentrating in estate planning, trust administration, probate litigation, and employment law for businesses. We are looking to immediately hire a highly skilled Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in supporting our legal team and helping incredible clients. The Legal Assistant will take ownership of a diverse range of tasks, allowing you to apply your creativity in streamlining processes and enhancing the efficiency of our operations. The successful candidate will also be entrusted with managing confidential and time-sensitive projects that demand precision and exceptional quality, ensuring that the information can be immediately used and shared.

Compensation

  • $22 - $26 per hour salary and potential for discretionary bonuses
  • Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays

  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days

Responsibilities

  • Keep the office running
  • Monitor, prioritize and respond to incoming communications, including mail, deliveries, and e-mail.
  • Manage and maintain the firm calendar and attorney
  • Format legal documents in MS-Word and prepare for
  • Assist with client
  • Prepare slide presentations and seminar
  • Use, review, and update policies, systems, and procedures and suggest and implement
  • Order office supplies and keep office equipment
  • Backup Receptionist when

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ recent work experience as an administrative assistant, secretary or executive assistant to professionals in an office setting is an absolute must.
  • Litigation experience preferred. Experience with estate planning, probate, and/or trust or estate administration a major plus.
  • Superior verbal and written communication
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Top-notch follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, including MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint.
  • Current working knowledge of Clio Grow and/or Clio Manage or other client relations management software or law practice management software preferred.
