Marrien Mejia has more than 10 years’ experience working with and supporting attorneys. Marrien started her professional career as Special Investigator III in the legal division of Civil Service Commission, one of the three Constitutional Commissions of the Philippines. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to Senior Personnel Specialist. Later in her career, Marrien joined the Supreme Court of the Philippines as court interpreter. She then went into government administration, first as a registration officer for the City Government of Dagupan and then as the City Civil Registrar, where she managed the department responsible for registration and maintenance of civil registry documents.
When Marrien and her son moved to the United States, she earned her Paralegal Studies certificate from the University of California Riverside Extension and became a part-time legal assistant. While Marrien has experience in family law, personal injury, and civil litigation, it is estate planning and trust administration that Marrien enjoys most. She enjoys communicating with clients and helping them navigate the estate planning process.
Before joining JDS Law to be nearer to home in Lake Elsinore, Marrien was a highly-valued Paralegal for a prestigious estate planning attorney in Riverside. She has extensive experience drafting a variety of estate plans, from basic to complex, and her exceptional research, records management, and investigation skills benefit our clients every day.
When she is not working, Marrien enjoys gardening, cooking, baking, and catching up with her favorite K-Pop band.
